Deodorization Tower

The deodorization tower utilizes a small molecular odor organic substance in the oil and fat to be more volatile than the triglyceride under high temperature and negative pressure. When the water vapor passes through the odor-containing oil, the water vapor is saturated by the volatile odor component, and is pressed. The proportion of its partial pressure escapes, so as to achieve the purpose of removing odor.

Nowadays,the deodorization towers commonly used in domestic oil refining process include plate towers,packed towers,and combined towers (plate towers + packed towers).

The combined deodorization tower is a science combination of the packing tower and the plate tower and has the dual advantages of packing tower and plate tower.The high temperature oil first enters the packing section, and the bottom-up stripping steam is in counter-flow contact with the film on the surface of the filler to remove free fatty acids, residual solvents and various other low-volatility components in the oil. Since the specific surface area of the structured packing is very large, and the mass transfer is carried out in the state of the film, the deodorizing effect is very good and rapid.
